Librarians, as educators and innovators, are uniquely placed to foster access points and tools to meet users wherever their research skills and digital competencies are, as well as access digital spaces successfully.
Looking for OCULA ambassadors
Have you ever wanted to get more involved with OCULA from the comfort of your own office? Do you like being the conduit of information to your colleagues? If you answered yes to either of these questions then OCULA is looking for YOU.
OCULA is currently in the process of recruiting ambassadors – one from each College and University Library in Ontario – with the end goal of having a dedicated OCULA contact person at each institution. Your responsibilities will not be onerous; instead, we are hoping to streamline the information through you to your colleagues to ensure that more people are aware of OCULA happenings and more voices can reach us with issues/areas of interest to you and your institution.
Our goal is to better serve your needs, so we need to know what those needs are. Who better to gather that information from your colleagues then YOU?
If you are interested, please email me at mindy.thuna@utoronto.ca and we can chat.
Mindy Thuna is a Science Liaison Librarian at the University of Toronto, Mississauga Campus.
