Tegan Niziol
Tegan Niziol is a fourth-year PhD candidate in musicology at the University of Toronto. She earned her Bachelor of Music (2014) and Bachelor of Education (2015) degrees from Queen’s University, and her Master of Arts in Musicology degree from the University of Toronto (2017). Her research interests include music historiography, musical modernism, and intersections of music and national identity, with a particular focus on the musical career of Sergei Rachmaninoff (1873-1943). Tegan has worked at the University of Toronto Music Library as a Graduate Student Library Assistant since 2016 and has contributed to various projects focussed on the library’s extensive LP collection, the University of Toronto faculty events recordings, library research guides, and instructional videos.
